Every heaven scent baked good at Aromas Boutique Bakery bears the creative touch of Chef Eileen Barett.  An East Harlem native and current resident, Eileen is committed to culinary excellence, all natural homemade food and the authentic experience of food. She holds a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from the Art Institute of New York(AINYC)  as well as a B.S in Psychology and a Certificate in Community Health from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. At AINYC, Chef Eilleen earned a scholarship for excellence from Les Dames d’Escoffier International and the EDMC Award for culinary excellence.  More recent accolades include a spotlight by the Womens Venture Fund and 2015 Best in Weddings Pick by the Knot magazine in the Cake and dessert category. While still catering, Chef Eileen launched Everydaygourmet NYC with the support of a group of fitness pros. Clients on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the Upper West Side and Harlem enjoyed the innovative flair Eileen brought to healthy cuisine. No one felt deprived.  Everyday gourmet propelled her into a career as a Private Chef. Chef Eileen’s gift for pastry began to shine and she and her artist sister, Jo-Ann began creating custom cakes to complement their catering business.  Aromas Boutique Bakery will celebrate 3 years in October where their signature cake, the Best Pumpkin Cake in the world, continues to delight and be their best seller.
